Chantel Valentene, Founder + Creative Director

Chantel, a Brooklyn native and self-proclaimed overachiever, infuses her brand-building endeavors with equal parts passion for design and business acumen, creating a magical synergy that sets her apart. Her journey began in the New York fashion industry, where she made waves by launching Resin, a revered luxury denim line. Transitioning to the corporate realm, she played a pivotal role in shaping the billion-dollar Jessica Simpson fashion empire and championing inclusivity through a mid-range plus-size brand.

In 2020, Chantel assumed the role of Managing Director at Firebelly Design Studio, steering the ship with a keen eye for creative direction, client relationships, and business growth. Under her leadership, Firebelly collaborated with industry titans such as Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Planned Parenthood, MASS Design Group, and Teachers for America (Oprah Partnership), solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner in design innovation.

Chantel's dedication to empowering others extends beyond the boardroom. She's lent her talents to organizations like Beauty for Freedom, uplifting survivors of human trafficking through artistic expression, and mentored future female leaders at GEM, fostering entrepreneurship and self-care. Vogue lauds her as a 'brainy, hustling New York City hipster,' but her Enneagram type, The Achiever, truly encapsulates her charismatic, energetic, and kind-hearted nature. When she's not immersed in her work, you'll find Chantel on the dance floor or soaking up the sun with family in Barbados.
